When it comes to locking Darrio was one of the original students. Part of the original craze that overtook California in the late 70’s early 80’s Darrio was a member of the original street crews that inspired such movies as Electric Boogaloo and Breakdance.
Darrio then brought the at that time unseen style to Australia with him in 1982 and taught it to his friend Darryl Von Bock. Together they then formed the DOUBLE D’s a group which revolutionalised the Australian streetdance scene. Making appearances on countless television shows and public forums, the Double D’s brought popping and locking to the Australian public.
Darrio’s locking technique is amazing crisp and right on point. He is clean and swift in his moves and has a precision that other locking teachers are missing, due to the fact the style has been watered down through the years.
For anyone interested in learning locking, or in cleaning up their technique, come take advantage of this great opportunity to learn from one of the originals, who has actually kept up his form through the years.
